February in the greenhouse - time to get started!

'My Monet' Mixed Pansies

People often ask us what we do in the greenhouse at this time of year. There's a lot to keep us busy as we begin planting seeds, transplanting early crops like pansies and violas, and taking cuttings of plants that are propagated vegetatively.

We're also growing a great selection of perennials and will be potting up our roses in the next couple of weeks.

To the right - 'My Monet' Mix is a lovely blend of pansies. We'll have 12 different pansy varieties in straight colors or beautiful blends. And pansies are tough! They can take a hard freeze and be beautiful later in the morning.

Violas are petite pansies and are even tougher. They often reseed themselves for the next spring and some even winter over!

Jump-up Violas

We're currently planning all of our spring vegetable and flower crops, so if you have special requests or would like us to grow custom plantings, this is the perfect time of year to check in with us.

We will plant special quantities of seeds for you from our selection or some that you bring in for us to plant. Let us know how we can help with your spring garden wishes!
